Application

From the 2019-2020 academic year on the Adv LLM Programs of ITC Leiden will be offered in cooperation with the Global School for Entrepreneurship, an officially recognized and accredited Business College that operates in The Netherlands and is affiliated with the German EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht. With its new partners ITC Leiden will have windows of opportunity for further growth that were not available to it under the regime of Leiden University.

ITC Leiden will continue to offer its Adv LLM Program in International Tax Law in exactly the same way as in the past years: same curriculum, same teachers, same building and staff, and Prof. Kees van Raad as its director. The next edition the ITL Adv LLM Program will start on 1 September 2019. Currently, final arrangements are being made for the timely issuing of Dutch visas to students that have been admitted to the Program.

There also is an important new development. Next year, in 2020, ITC will offer the first edition of its long-awaited 12 months Adv LLM in Transfer Pricing for Multinational Enterprises (TP Adv LLM). Final accreditation of the TP Adv LLM Program is being arranged. Further news will be posted here as soon as it is available.

If you are interested in participating in the ITL Adv LLM, please submit an application at your earliest convenience by clicking on the link (see below, under 'Application for the full program') for the online application form. The deadline for submitting applications for the ITL Adv LLM 2019-2020 for non-EU citizens is 15 May 2019; the deadline for EU citizens is 15 June 2019.

If you would like to express your interest in the TP Adv LLM program, please send an email to admission@itc-leiden.nl and mention as Subject: `TP´.

NOTE:  Meeting the admission requirements to ITC Leiden programs does not guarantee an admission offer. The applicants are selected based on their overall merits.

Evidence of significant professional accomplishments is also taken into consideration.

Where the qualifying degree is a law degree, it must be one that gives access to the legal profession in the country where the degree was obtained (an intermediate law degree does not qualify).

•  demonstrate high academic performance, validated by grades of their University Degree/Transcript (as explained in accompanying grade explanations).

•  demonstrate previous excellence in participation in tax courses or achievements in tax practice, illustrated by, among others, grades (as explained in accompanying grade explanations), past experience related to the subject (professional accomplishments, publications).

•  meet the proficiency in English requirements as described below.

•  must send in certified copies of certain documents that are indicated below.  A ‘certified copy’ is a copy of an academic record which has been affixed with an original stamp or seal by the issuing institution, thus proving that it is a genuine copy of an original document issued by that institution.  If the certified copy is not in Dutch, English, French or German it must be accompanied by an official translation, drawn up by a sworn translator and bearing the original stamp and professional details of the translator.
