Ronald van den Brekel
Ronald van den Brekel is a tax partner at Ernst & Young, Rotterdam. He is working in transfer pricing and tax effective supply chain management (TESCM). He has been working for the tax administration in the Netherlands for more than 20 years; from 2004 until 2009 he has been Chair of the Dutch Tax Administration“s Transfer Pricing coordination group. Before that, he has been working as a tax inspector and tax auditor, IT-auditor, project manager and policy advisor for the Directorate of Large Enterprises.
Mr. Van den Brekel obtained a master“s degree in Fiscal Economics at the University of Tilburg as well as a postgraduate degree in Accountancy (University of Rotterdam) and in IT-auditing (Free University, Amsterdam). He is a registered CPA. He has been a member of the Dutch delegation for OECD Working Party 6 and has been a member of it's bureau. He has acted as a lecturer at several OECD courses on auditing multinational enterprises and on transfer pricing. He has advised a number of countries on setting up their transfer pricing legislation and organisation.
Mr. Van den Brekel is an instructor at the International tax academy of the IBFD, lecturer at the LLM program of International Tax Center in Leiden, lecturer at PAOB, and an ad hoc lecturer at the University of Rotterdam. He is a regular speaker on seminars on transfer pricing. In 2008, he was a member of the UN ad-hoc expert group meeting on transfer pricing.
